Phew. The roller coaster ride comes to an end. 2020 is almost over. This has been one the most turbulent years in history, thanks to the Corona Virus. Due to the quarantine, I was able to pick up the habit of reading and writing. I am so excited to do the 2020 end of the year book tag, and summarise my reading journey. Let's begin!

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

Yes, yes, yes! there are so many books i started this year which I was unable to finish. To name one, i'd go with All the Lights We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. I have read 334 of 530 pages. I absolutely love the book, but it's a difficult and slow read, which is a bit intimidating due to which I haven't really gotten around to completing it. But i hope to finish it before 2021!

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

I started reading The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern by the end of October; a difficult read for sure, but worth it! definitely giving me the cozy autumn/winter vibes.

Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?

No! As weird as it may sound, i just recently got into reading. Currently the series and books I read are ones from previous years. It is safe to say that I have caught up with mostly all the books i wanted to read, and am eagerly waiting for new releases in upcoming years, Chain of Iron by Cassandra Clare, for instance.

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

  1. Godfather by Mario Puzo

  2. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

  3. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?

My current read, The Raven Boys is blowing my mind page by page. I am so sure that it will be my favourite books and series! The characters, plot, dialogues, language - everything is spectacular.

Have you already started making reading plans for 2021?

Not really... but I do know I want to read more non-fiction, especially biographies. I also want to increase my knowledge regarding sufism. I am fond of Rumi, but I want to get to know more about other mystics too.

That conclude this blog! What were your answers to these questions? How was 2020 for you? Let me know!
